John Byrne from Kimmage contacted ERAT after experiencing ongoing rat activity around his property and hearing movement in the walls during the evenings. Our team carried out a comprehensive rodent investigation, including an inspection of the external drainage system and surrounding areas of the home. During the survey, we discovered that rats were gaining access through a damaged section of underground drain pipe that connected to the property.
To solve the problem, ERAT carried out targeted repair work which included installing a rodent non-return flap within the drainage system and repairing the damaged pipe section. We also sealed several small structural gaps around the exterior of the property to prevent further rodent access. After the repairs and proofing were completed, the rat activity was successfully eliminated and the property was fully secured against future infestations.
