Aoife Brennan from Tallaght, Dublin 24 contacted ERAT after noticing rat activity in the garden and hearing scratching noises near the ground floor of her home. Our team carried out a full rodent investigation, including a detailed inspection of the drainage system and surrounding exterior areas to identify possible entry points. During the investigation, we discovered that rats were accessing the property through a damaged drain connection and small structural gaps around pipe entry points.

To resolve the issue, ERAT completed a repair project that involved installing a rodent non-return flap within the drainage line and sealing the vulnerable openings around the property. Additional pest proofing work was carried out to reinforce the affected areas and prevent further access. Once the work was completed, the rat activity was successfully eliminated and Aoife’s home was secured against future infestations.
