Marianne Walsh from Monasterevin, Co. Kildare contacted ERAT after noticing signs of rat activity around her property and hearing movement beneath the floors. Our team carried out a full rodent investigation, including a detailed inspection of the external drainage system and surrounding areas to determine how the rats were accessing the home. The inspection revealed that the rodents were travelling through a damaged section of underground pipework connected to the property’s drainage network.

To resolve the issue, ERAT carried out a targeted repair project which included installing a rodent non-return flap within the drain system and sealing several vulnerable entry points around the property. Additional pest proofing work was completed to reinforce structural gaps that could allow future access. Following the repairs and preventative measures, the rat activity was successfully eliminated, leaving the property secure and protected from further infestations
